Daniel O'Dowd just uploaded the unseen footage Of Michael Jackson's Huge Grammy Award Win for Thriller on his Youtube channel.
The behind the scene footage shows a back stage photo op, MJ being congratulated by James Brown, singing a Pointer Sister's song "Automatic", dancing with Webster star, Emanuel Lewis and footage of him with Brook Shields his date for the evening.
When Michael Jackson had his big Grammy win, O'Dowd was there and went on to handle a number of Jackson projects.over the years, including Victory Tour/Sony Director, Epic/Sony/CBS Director of 'Making of Michael Jackson and worked with Michael's licensing division. The 26th Annual Grammy Awards were held on February 28, 1984 at Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles, and were broadcast live on American television. They recognized accomplishments by musicians from the year 1983. Michael Jackson won a record eight awards during the show. The Album of the Year went to Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson for Thriller.
