For the 5th year in a row, Katherine Jackson is bringing the Michael Jackson “King of Pop” Tribute to Gary Indiana. The celebration will take place, August 28th, 29th and 30th.
To celebrate Michael Jackson's 56th birthday, MJ fans are sending, 56 beautiful yellow roses with greenery and baby's breath to be delivered to Michael Jackson's childhood home in Gary.
The florist 'Just Flowers' will deliver the roses to the Jackson House on the 29th of August. There will be 28 roses per vase. The first 56 roses will be excepted by a Jackson family representative at 2300 Jackson Street, the rest will go to the Hobart Historical Society.
Michael Jackson fan, Kristi Kanter, came up with the idea to place Roses in Gary and so the "Roses in Gary Indiana" Facebook group was formed, June 30th 2014, to except donations. The groups purpose is to celebrate the day Michael was born, by sending Roses to Gary, annually on August 29th.
